Odessa Water Trail is located on the Odessa Wildlife Complex and offers 14 miles of marked flat-water paddling. An additional Mississippi River route is included with the Odessa Water Trail.

To access the Odessa Water Trail from the Iowa River, paddle about 3/4 miles upstream from Ferry Landing. This is easier if you veer to the left before you come to the mouth of the river so that you don't have to fight the cross current.

Take out at the Toolesboro Boat Ramp and carry your boat over the levee. You can put it right on the other side of the levee if you want to carry it down to the water. The Burris Ditch boat ramp and parking lot are located about 1/4 mile away on the road.
